Rush is First in Region to Join Accountable Care Organization (ACO)

Pioneer Health Alliance/Rural Solutions is pleased to announce that Rush Health Systems has signed an agreement to participate in Rural Solutions’ Accountable Care Organization. This commitment from Rush Health Systems strengthens our diverse network of patient-centered healthcare providers in Central Mississippi and Western Alabama.

Pioneer Health Alliance, dba Rural Solutions is a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) of physicians, hospitals and other health care professionals operating together through common quality governance and data sharing. Rural Solutions also operates an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) under the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) encompassing multiple hospitals, clinics, and independent practices in five states throughout the Southeast. As a group, these entities formed an agreement with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to be accountable for the total cost and quality of care  provided to Medicare beneficiaries. Together, ACO Participants focus on improving the coordination and integration of healthcare services for our patients, while prioritizing prevention and wellness.

Rural Solutions’ ultimate goal is the delivery of excellent care, spending healthcare dollars wisely, and building healthier, stronger communities.
