Michael Nester Returns to H. C. Watkins Memorial Hospital as Administrator
MERIDIAN – Officials with Rush Health Systems recently announced that Michael Nester had been named Administrator of H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman, MS.
In making the announcement, Larkin Kennedy, Vice President of Rush Health Systems' Hospital Division said, "On behalf of the administration of Rush Health Systems, I want to express our appreciation to Michael Nester for his dedication while serving dual-duty over the past several months as Administrator of John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital, and Interim Administrator at H.C. Watkins Memorial."
Nester has been with Rush Health Systems for 22 years and has a great deal of operational experience. With the naming of Justin Palmer as the Administrator at John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital, Nester will now serve as the full-time Administrator at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital. Nester has served in that role before, from 2006 – 2010.
"Michael Nester understands the unique needs of the communities served by H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital and we know he will work diligently to make sure his hospital continues to provide its patients with quality care and services," said Kennedy.
Rush Health Systems is headquartered in Meridian, Mississippi with healthcare facilities in East Mississippi and West Alabama. The organization includes Rush Foundation Hospital, Specialty Hospital of Meridian, Medical Foundation, Inc., Laird Hospital, Union, Mississippi, H.C. Watkins Hospital in Quitman, Mississippi, Scott Regional Hospital in Morton, Mississippi, John C. Stennis Memorial Hospital, DeKalb, MS, and Choctaw General Hospital in Butler, AL.
