Rush Work Force Wellness provides area industries and businesses with wellness and educational programs to assist employees in adopting healthier lifestyles, adopting safer work habits and controlling health risks at the worksite. The program also teaches employers how to control or reduce workers' compensation costs and evaluate an applicant's physical and mental condition relating to specific job qualifications. Rush Workforce Wellness Clinic provides physicals, performs audiograms, pulmonary function testing, fit testing, drug screens as well as care for fast-track and private patients.

The Goal of Work Force Wellness is to return injured workers to their regular duties as safely, quickly, and efficiently as possible.

Businesses and industries have the convenience of a mobile clinic in their parking lot. The custom-built 40-foot unit is equipped to provide health screenings, audiometric testing, drug and breath alcohol testing, pulmonary function screenings, and immunizations.

The mobile unit is equipped with three hearing booths and can perform approximately 15 audiograms per hour. The unit also features a TV/VCR for safety and educational programs. This is a way to provide on-site healthcare services to area employers, which assists them in improving and maintaining the health status of their employees.

Based on screening results, employees who are at risk for disease or illness are identified by Work Force Wellness nurses and given information regarding treatment, prevention, and appropriate follow-up care.

The Work Force Wellness clinic is also available for private patient visits. Patients requiring follow-up care can visit the primary care clinic at Rush. The clinic is a full-scale health clinic that provides a variety of special services to meet your healthcare needs. Whether it's the common cold or a minor emergency, the staff provides you with extraordinary medical care.
