Rush offers Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) that are designed to meet the needs of older individuals experiencing significant changes in their sense of well-being. Eligible clients usually have symptoms of depression and/or anxiety that are impacting their daily living. These programs can be utilized in assisting clients in maintaining their quality of life. The IOPs offer a unique treatment approach and are staffed by licensed clinical professionals.

Program Goals

• Provides a source of interaction with others experiencing similar problems
• Assists clients in coping with recent changes in their lives
• Increases self-awareness to help prevent symptoms from worsening

Program Criteria

• Ages 55 and up
• Able to participate in group activities
• Experiencing difficulty with mood, behavior, or thinking

• Assessment and ongoing evaluation
• Education
• Group therapy
• Individual therapy
• Family counseling
• Medication management (as needed)
• Transportation
• Lunch provided
